HRSTR5 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
HSCC Donington

I keep opening the "Donington - Is it On" thread, hoping to see some photos of the HSCC meeting, anyone got any ... I had one of my most exciting dices ever (with Colin Sharp in his TR5), for the first few laps the biggest gap at the start line was 0.17sec and the smallest was 0.001sec! (I'll be moving the transponder forward now just in case, it's currently behind the driver's seat!) Obviously I'd love to see if anyone has some decent photos!

Also my brother, David, was out in his newly purchased Merlyn Mk20 for the first time.

No still pics I'm afraid but I've got some video footage:

Thanks for the link, we like the race footage, although it seems to show the car fairly composed through the Craner Curves and into the Old Hairpin - it didn't feel like that in the car at the time!!

I remember the dice and thoroughly entertaining it was too. Many thanks.

I was in the stand opposite the the pits for that one and as I recall the photo opportunities of your battle were limited because you were always side by side so that one of you was under the safety wire which spoiled the potential shot. I was just getting to the point where I thought I would go for it anyway when the gap appeared ...

Sadly didn't get one of your brother either as I was mainly working on the FJs and CF3s for the track level stuff.

I also managed to get the Saloons and the Classic Racing cars from race 7.

There's just never enough time to catch everything ...

Grant, i am after pictures from this event too as i had a storming drive in the Historic FF2000 race and so would like pics to remember it by. I too havent found anyone that was there yet. I was also in the Classic F3 race as well. I'm car number 19, let me know if you have anything.

Thanks
Scott

Scott, I've just asked someone on another forum for you, as they were there taking pictures but only posted five of them. I'm seeing if he has any more...

Hi Scott,

I have a sequence of 4 shots taken from the inside of Redgate during the CF3 race. (Sorry, I was in the paddock for the FF2000).

They all look much the same I'm afraid but seem complete and sharp. I've got some odd things going on with internet access and Wi-Fi network just this moment or I would post an example - but it's proving to be a challenge for some reason so will do so later.

I assume the PM system here works Ok so if you send me a PM with an email address I'll bung the shots (full size) into a zip file and drop them on my web site and then send some guidance about how to collect them. The full size files, x4, are a bit large for an email attachement IMO.

The computers gave started to co-operate with each other again so here's a sample shot.

.... which for some reason does not seem to be re-sizing as expected. I'll try a smaller version for now.

Hmm.

That's better for a post, but of course pretty poor for anything else. The real ones should print to about A3 size if you so desire.

It was a good drive and thoroughly deserved the driver of the day award.
