LMP1 car with the most promise
hello people,
i just thought i would start a thread on what many of you people think is the LMP1 car with the most promise to become the fastest or a lot faster, some of the cars are fast already like the creation CA06H and the courage LC70's but these cars are suffering with reliabilty problems still, the lola B06/10's in the ALMS are beggining to show some proper pace at last and are picking up a bit while the zytek 06S looks to be the biggest disapointment so far it doesnt quite have the pace everyone else has even with a good driver line up and it has so far proven to have horrific problems with reliability just look at lemans 24 hours 2006 lol so post youre car which you think has the most promise next year or for the rest of the season, here is my choice courage LC70's mugen Last edited by dj choc ice; 30 Jul 2006 at 14:19. |

Only the Lola and Courage are LMP1 cars, the others are hybrids and they can not race next year (only in ALMS and JLMS)
So I would say Courage LC70 with Judd 5.5 V10 (new engine for next year): |

I've vote for the Lola B06/10 cause he shows the last race of ALMS that hé was very fast, faster as R10 in qualif...
So i guess next year Lola will have a great car to concquer Audi, i hope.. |

Dyson Lola was much lighter than the R10. LC70 for me. But Lister has the most room for improvement. :P

One must wonder how much Honda's influence on Lola and Courage will filter on to their LMP1 program, even though Honda are running the cars in LMP2.
Lola and Courage will be keen for the feedback and the potential good influence on future sales from the association with Honda. |

Lola and Courage are the only LMP1 cars. The others are hybrids and thus will not see any major development.

I'd be interested to see how a Lola performed with a Judd engine installation. While the Judd is probably the better engine at the moment would it disturb the overall balance of the car - indeed would it fit?

Story is , that the AER is more economical than the Judd GV5 , but im not sure about the GV5S2 ?
Im going with the LC70 too . I reckon it will get the same treatment in development that the ALMS Courages and Lola will get from Honda . |
