A Hakkinen, Montoya, Kimi, Alesi (and maybe a few others from Schuey's heyday) in their 'prime' would still cut it against the current lot imo. |

Unfortunately for Michaels rivals "back in the day" the Ferrari was such a dominant machine, i'm thinking 2001/2002 and 2004 and the only driver who had equal equipment wasn't allowed to race him. Nevermind.

Michael Schumacher retire?
He should retire whne he wants to. Period. I personally like him coming back.
A race driver is like a fine wine, the older he/she gets. The more experience there is, the better, as long as everything is OK health wise and have the fitness to endure a race car stress. He is just not as good as he was because his driving style doesnt fit the new cars. He will get used to it. Also because in his inner mind, he has already attained what any driver dream may of. That all, but he is one of the best and will always be. |

As for the experience, the experience he has did not prove to be much use to him (other than to amplify the prospects and hype with some that it would be a successful comeback). But this season also gave Michael some new previously unseen experiences..... Like being (allowed to be) beaten and outqualified convincingly by a teamate. Oh and being on occassion being unable to to make it past Q2 and indeed struggle to sometimes even make Q2 Also he experienced that the new drivers barely out of nappies have zero respect for him and will quite happily engage him in a dice.
