Grandslammer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Silverstone F3/GT Aug 16th/17th

I'm only down for the Sat/Sun but was wondering on the numbers needed to cover the two F3 sessions on the Friday (1400-1430) and (1655-1725) ?

No mention on camping but assume it's either behind Ped bridge/Copse or Copse runway ?
Cheers

If you can be there Friday afternoon I'm sure they will be grateful for your help. As for camping, I believe it's Copse Runway.

got the instructions today, 'the inside of Copse' is what it says.
Really enjoyed this last year so hope it'll be as good again, not so keen on Sunday now I've seen the timetable, I'm only doing it for the F3, dont like GTs! oh well....

As usual with Silverstone meetings some people's instructions get sent out by the circuit (ES Team - Pam Dearn) and others by the organising club (mostly non-incident duties) and so they are not 100% identical.

Having been at the circuit today I can confirm that:

1) The meeting is on the International Circuit.

2) Camping will be adjacent to the Copse Runway (i.e. inside the track).

3) Sat & Sun signing on will be in the Paddock Bar from 7:30am.

4) If anybody else is available on Friday for the F3 Qualifying sessions (plus you can see the other categories testing) then please get in touch with whoever sent out your instructions. Incident, Rescue, Obs/Flag and Pits are required but if you normally do something else then this is your chance to try something new. Signing on starts at 12 noon if you want some lunch.

I've volunteered for Sat & Sun, so should be there Friday night, but not had any instructions/tickets yet, but I only put the form in the post at the beginning of last week.

I still got nada here. Can you/anybody tell me if I'm actually needed? (It wouldn't be the first time tickets have been sent to me, but not received - postman seems unable to cope with the fact that the company has a new name, despite the fact that I even very kindly put the new name on the address).

Well, I enjoyed my weekend up at luffield centre. We seemed to have plenty to do and plenty happen that we didn't have to do anything with.

Thanks to the guys on post, great company. See you again soon hopefully.

I was expecting a dull time on my own at Abbey Out on Sunday, especially for the 2 hour GT race, but the racing was good, and so was the campsite - even the weather managed to just about hold out. I guess I should've realised it wouldn't be so dull, when I got a spinner on the 2nd pace car lap of the first race!

I usually hate GT racing but that GT race was excellent, going down to the wire. A special mention to the no.4 GT car who spun at Brooklands and then decided to drive straight in to the gravel trying to continue !

A good weekend for me, nice and quiet until the last race until 2 G20's decided to have an argument and end up in the gravel at Priory.

Many thanks to the people on post with me for a fun weekend.

Yet again an excellent 3 day meeting at Silverstone,
Thanks must go to Charlotte for looking after us so well in the pits Saturday and Sunday,
Was nice to be given meal vouchers too.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the free practice sessions on Friday.
The company on the camp site was excellent.
Thanks for help in packing away tent etc,
Not required for Gazebo as this took off on Saturday.
A very well organised weekend and thanks to all concerned, only 15minutes late, not bad after a busy Sunday.

He was very special.....
I think the same, I'm really not a GT fan but I got quite into that one, it did get a bit dull near the middle when everyone dropped out but it picked up again near the end.

Cant believe it but I got sunburn, mainly on my bottom lip which is lovely and swollen today and everyone at work has been calling me Lesley Ash!
