Schume should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I noticed this tucked away in a corner of yesterdays Motoring News:

"None of the three most important US TV networks, (ABC, CBS and NBC) will show September's inaugural grand prix at Indianapolis because of a clash with the Olympic Games".

I guess that the Americans would rather watch their own stars winning truck loads of gold medals rather than a strange thing called F1.

But maybe one of the other million channels in the US will carry it anyway.

And here we are moaning about Euro 2000 because ITV is not going to show Canadian Qualifying live.

Ho Hum.....

All F1 Races and Qualifying are shown LIVE on Speedvision, a cable Network, and the races are shown on Tape Delay on FOX SportsNet.

Between these two networks, most people with Cable or Satellite will have access to the races. The only opportunity for Live Broadcast would have been on the Fox Network, (Rupert Murdoch's Baby), so the race won't have the exposeure we would like, but bear in mind that most Champcar Races and Most Nascar races are available only on Cable.

Another thing to consider, Rupert Murdoch holds the exclusive rights to F1 TV coverage in the US. There is a huge amount of animosity betwwent he big three networks and Murdoch, so I'm sure that has a little to do with it.
