7 aren't showing AFL on the Saturdays, that is TEN's day for it.

I'd say they won't change anything. The 'powers that be' probably think it would be more exciting if the backmarkers (with better tyres) can fight back at the end of the day as they have better tyres left over.

In the Peter Jackson Dash the drivers were given no new tyres, the 6 drivers had to use those tyres that they were racing on.

If they can't get a pay tv deal over the line they will be.

How many AFL games are played on a Saturday afternoon, isn't there only one?

They will work out the AFL timetables so that 7 & TEN won't be showing different matches at the same time.

Saturday V8 TV is not an issue with regards to the AFL.

I'd say you are correct.

Just read in AA ( yes, I know....) that the drivers will have to manage their rubber for the session as they don't get any extra......

If they are using the same rubber as this year I doubt it will last through qualifying as well as the races.

I don't think it will make to much of a difference, the actual total qualifying time for a car (presuming they make it to the Top 10/third sector) is only 15 minutes more than they do now anyway.

I know your right, but I just like to have a whinge about the current rubber. I think it forces the drivers to be too conservative. It complemented the old point scoring system but may now be exposed.

A agree with you, more fresh tyres should be made available not just for racing, but for testing as well.
