DanicaFan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
My IndyCar Debut

I thought I would share a few pics from my debut at driving an IndyCar this past July. I had a blast! It was awesome driving that open-wheeler. It was only 3 laps, I wish it would of been at least 10. The top speed the car would go was 110mph. I definitely want to do it again.
I did my drive at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not a better place to do it at.

Here I am getting into the car.

Here I am getting some last minute instruction on driving the car.

You lucky #*^%$£"!, etc. I have never driven a single seater, i have sat in several F1 cars though, i think a single seater track day is well up the list for my 40th birthday present from my wife, couple of years yet though.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was a blast. Definitely an experience. I want to do it again for sure. Maybe try a road course somewhere.

Oh and Adam, I stayed clear from the wall, I made sure of that. I did not want to hit that wall.

My wife knew I always wanted to drive one for a long time so she bought me a certificate at racingschools.com and I chose to drive an IndyCar. They have everything you can think of that you can drive, even fly an airplane.

It was a great time.

Ace! I work at a racing school in the UK and knew they did Indycar experiance, just never realised they did one at IMS!!! That is awesome!

I've raced Barber Dodge and tested Toyota Atlantic but now my racing career is pretty much behind me (money) I would just love to drive round Indy. May have to do this.

Thx

I understand from a commonsense pt of view the 110 mph limit, with all kinds of people doing this, but didnt it seem awfully slow on that wide of an oval? Did the car accelerate fairly quickly and they had an electronic limiter for top speed ? Just curious of how it felt and if it was overly anemic in get up and go, how did it compare to the fastest accelerating car you haave driven?

Im sure it was a gas though, great experience to remember.

cheers

How many times did you crash and stall? If it was fewer than six, you could possibly do a better job than Danica.

Any idea of the cost involved with the your Indycar experience, that is if you feel like divulging that information.
