John Watson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MGCC @ Cadwell Park

The MG Car Club are visiting Cadwell Park on Sunday September 12th. for for a very well supported race Meeting.
As well as our usual Club Championships we also have the TR Register/TSCC Championship and JEC Parc Ferme/Rotatec Saloon Challenge Jaguars.

Although our Marshal's manning level looks very comfortable at the moment, there is always room for more helpers. I could do with a couple more Observers and Flag Marshals please.

If anyone wishes to join us, please get in touch, either by pm or online via our web site www.mgcc.co.uk and click on Marshals.

As for our resident 'Dogsbody' it looks like he will be completely lost as he looks like having just one job to do!

Our usual hospitallity and appreciation will be provided at sign-on.

I hope to see a lot of you there,

Best regards,

John Watson - MG Car Club Chief Marshal

Everyone welcome and if anyone wants that one job of mine...

Thanks Stephen for making this a 'Hot Topic'

Pete - Have you thought about getting your staff back from holiday? Did they not realise that you are needed at cadwell?

Dogsbody - You do not know what your one job entails yet, so do not be too keen to give it away!

Steve - What job in Race Control?

Thanks to those that have responded to my appeal, but as Dogsbody commented, there is still room for more.

To those of you who have not received your passes yet.

I believe that you are on the Cadwell Park E.S. team listing, and consequently get your passes via John Franks.
I have checked with John and he put the passes in the post last Saturday, (probably 2nd. Class). So you should all receive them by the end of the week. If you have not received them by Thursday please get in touch with me and I will sort something out, either another mail shot or Passes being left on the gate. If this is the case sign-on is in the Hospitallity Unit in Assembly around 8.00am.

Dogsbody - Due to an e-mail that I have received this evening, your 'Job Count' is now possibly 2. ( Or if 1, different to the original job that was planned for you)

Please keep the offers of help coming in, just two more Flag Marshals please.

My tickets came direct from MGCC, probably why I seemed to get mine earlier than most.

Hmmm no bids yet and the job count might be two.

Perhaps I ought to raise the stakes and put it on eBay.

(Note to Chief Marshals and other interested parties: Has anyone tried to "sell" motor racing marshalling as a hobby on eBay as a recruitment drive?)

Have a good evening FW, hope to see you all at Cadwell, though I am VERY disappointed no-one has bid for my job/s. It means I have had to go buy a new battery for my stop watch!

Even though it looked, at one stage, as if I was going to be on my own on my post, everything worked out OK.
As always with the MGCC, a good days racing.
