pete60 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Let's see if that can be answered at Clipsal.

Stamps in the roll cages say nothing as that is the number assigned by Beehag/CAMS or whoever gives those numbers out. The BJR # is the number given to it by the team.

Think over the years there has been a bit of confusion over the chassis numbers, depending on whether the Longhurst car is included. But I think the consensus is that there were 3 AUs, the original Longhurst car and the 2 BJR cars at the beginning of 01 & 02 and 4 BAs as above.

The Cleland rollover car was one of the 03 built cars, the 04 built car was the Bowe / Brad Jones car at Bathurst in 04.

I think Noonz has become a bit confused himself the same cars listed as 5 & 6 in The Great Race 2005 were listed as 6 & 7 in The Great Race 2007.

Agree, we should see what comes up at Adelaide.

Isnt there a build plate inside with the chassis number on it? There is in DJR Falcons...

The first BA was chassis #3, not 4. This followed the two chassis #1 and #2, which were the AUs built in house by BJR. The first BJR AU was the ex Longhurst car, which retained its TLR chassis designation.

This means the chassis were numbered #3 to #6. This is consistent with Noonz's analysis in the great Race Books of 2003 and 2004. The car tipped on its lid with Cleland at the wheel in 2004 would be #5 (built in 2004), meaning #3 was pressed back into service for the rest of that year. I think #4 is the Neville car.
Seems strange that there is a disparity in numbering....

pascofi m-sport should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
here's the long and short

BJR 01: AU -> Debut: 2001 (Phillip Island)
BJR 02: AU -> Debut: 2002 (AGP)
BJR 03: BA -> Debut: 2003 (AGP)
BJR 04: BA -> Debut: 2003 (AGP)
BJR 05: BA -> Debut: 2004 (AGP)
BJR 06: BA -> Debut: 2005 (Sandown 500)

if you don't have the sequence that i have, go back one, and you are on track
some of my notes are from the 2007 V8 Yearbook (they refer to the BJR numbers as 04, 05 & 07)...this should be correct now.

Guys ... BJR deemed the ex Longhurst car to be BJR 01 ... so the cars the actually built start from #2.
Plenty of questions on all of this stuff ... will go and dig it out when I have time in Clipsal with the Russells etc
