But I do remember the 500 at DIS having "surface troubles" a few years back....or maybe it was the 400 in July at DIS....didn't that cause Montoya to crash into the back of a jet dryer ? |

When running, this has been a good race. Looks like a final sweep and clean is happening. Let's hope it holds! |

That patch looks a bit rough. Will it survive the rest of the race?

Till and TK are pretty funny in the FS2 booth......talking about roadway repairs, etc.....and a few jabs at BB.....I've always loved TK....he's a good man. Both him and Till are quick to buy a round of drinks...

safety car lights are out
If they had put Pew in MSR, they would have had 1 of his hours out of the way. |

unseen to all of us, Negri passed both Angelleli and Curran - while the director was busy showing the lonely PC car in 32nd overall

it's like it ought not to make a difference whether or not you're watching the race. Good job, guys.
edit; they showed a replay for the pass on the #31, probably because a DP got damaged (number panel torn off) |

I get that we have it much better nowadays with streaming of most major series readily available, but I'm not sure how much good it is when the crucial events are missed or glossed over so consistently.
Let's see if the race director decides to cut away just before Negri makes a move on Barbosa. Edit - Nope, we got to see that one. #60 leads. |

nah, surprise, they stayed on it. Still, terms like "regional" and "amateur" come to mind.
edit: now if only the #60 crew had burnt some of that Pew time during the FCY, but, well, "regional", "amateur", ... |

Putting Pew in under yellow would've given Negri am hours break from driving, and if you put Negri back in just before it went green then it'd be an hour less behind the wheel, and therefore more flexibility with the coming stints and drive times. Lots of reasons the Am goes in during yellows!

If he wants points, he needs time. Given another hour of FCY is inevitable, MSR could have easily made him points eligible, but failed to do so. So you want to imply that even though Pew's on his way out, he'll rather step away from more driving to not hurt his crew's competitiveness? What makes you think that? It's not like he's done so earlier the season.
