definitely some mixed messages, But thats how the system is meant to work

a decision is made and then it is appealed and then a subsequent court is held

CAMS make the on the spot decisions and then things are looked at post race

I will wait for some more info first

Well, according to standings points were awarded, SVG has 450 instead of 300. But it seems drivers claim that was no-point race. Hopefully. That'd be ridiculous.

Rules are one thing, but acting in the best interests of the sport and the fanbase is something else.

From Fox Sports: "The Supercars board, comprising CEO James Warburton, team owners Roland Dane and Brad Jones and Archer Capital’s Peter Wiggs, have agreed to declare Race 3 as ‘no race’, which would mean no championship points would be awarded."

Events today will test the resilience and credibility of the series. BJR, LDM, GRM, HSV Racing and Nissan all have had multiple cars badly damaged. HOw many of them will claim force majeure for Phillip Island in a fortnight? I hope all can be there. How many teams will have to access cars from the development series?

The points or no points farce suggest that another rewrite of the rules may be needed. The same argument could also apply to Race 2 of the Dunlop series

However , yes its CAMS job to follow the supercars commission rules, they appear to have done that.

I think it does cover it.

But this wanst expected, or more likely an attempt to create another rule created an unattended consequence.

but the rule book did cover it, just the process needed some time to apply the rules
