Possibly nothing more than pad material on the disc - a few days of normal driving should clear it.

If you have had it out on a track day the brakes might simply have over heated a tad?

One thing we have found with the yellowstuff we have had off Bob is that they take a hammering heat wise but are still OK. Also we don't seem to suffer with "temp issues" when they are cold as some claim. They work from the moment we set off! Excellent product!

Pads & Disks for a clunker

My old beat up Mondeo, passed the MOT today. But got an advisory on the front disks. So must get in touch with those lovely EBC chaps & see what they can do for me.

I just want to add my thanks to all those listed here. What a sound bloke Bob is - not just because of the discount on the new discs and pads for my Scenic but for the efficient way my order was handled, oh and the craic we had on the way! Thanks Bob.

Just spoken to the ever helpful Bob, and a full set of pads and discs are heading my way. Thanks (again) to EBC for this offer.

Spoke to Bob on the phone Monday lunchtime, and he was a great help! I ordered new pads(greenstuff) and discs for my Vauxhall Astra and 48 hours later they arrived via UPS! I got them for an excellent price as well, cheaper than the bog-standard ones I could have got from a local garage!
Made a really great saving!
As has been said before this is a genuinely excellent offer and my thanks goes to EBC brakes and especially Bob!

Another big thanks to Bob and all at EBC Brakes. Just got a set of Green Stuff pads for my Focus. Excellent service and price. Delivered very quickly and only one bruised thumb in getting them fitted this afternoon!

Meant to post on here a few weeks ago - got a set of rear pads & discs for my MX5 at a great price from Bob & EBC. They don't just do performance brakes but high quality standard pads & discs too. Just need to save my pennies for some greenstuff pads now.....

Thanks once again.

Doesnt Appear to work anymore

Hi all,

I've just tried using this for the first time and it appears we cannot get this offer any more.

I tried calling the number suggested and the lady advised there isn't a Bob that works there. Also they didn't deal with individual customers. They advised me to call EBC Brakes Shop however they also wouldn't provide this discount but would only offer 5-10% depending on what was purchased.

Probably a good time for a moderator to make suitable amendments to this thread (title, first post etc), lock it and let it fall away into the mists of time...

I phoned today and was given another contact:-

Carol
Direct Number at EBC 01604 286028

Carol advised me that they no longer offer the 50% discount Bob gave us but do offer us Marshals a 40% discount.

Apparently not - resurrected!

One cannot be ungrateful at a 40% discount - that is massive. Thanks EBC

My father and I have used this offer for over 10 years, regularly buying discs, pads, fluid and even had Subaru Callipers refurbished. Absolutely brilliance service, and Bob was always nice to chat to too. Met him at Autosport show a few times too, it's a great shame he had to leave. I spoke to the guys on the stand this year and they weren't sure where he is working now.

Anyway, Christmas before last (2014) I needed some pads so rang up, spoke to Carol explained I was regular customer and she set up my own account. I was able to obtain a 40% discount. I guess now they have set up an account for Marshals. Still a Great service anyway.

Payment is Credit Card Only. I think that's always been the case as Bob didn't accept my 'Maestro' Debit Card.
