FIA may allow stability control
It seems that the FIA is considering the introduction of stability control:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/moto...ne/6447171.stm The introduction of stability control might be the end of Formula 1. At least as a drivers' championship. Why doesn't the FIA introduce an Endurance Series, that has the same values as the old Group C (advanced cars with sophisticated technologies like traction control, CVT, ABS, electronic differentials, active suspension and stability control) and keep the Formula 1 clean from this sort of technologies? |

That's an odd one!
To be fair* it looks abit like the manufacturers want it,not the fia.Perhaps the manufacturers have learned mad max's negotiating tactics,LOL ? -i.e Suggest something completely idiotic then 'back down' to accept what they really wanted in the first place *but then again when has the fia ever warranted the word fair? |

These things are more likely to happen now that F1 is effectively a road car manufacturers series. |

why the hell does f1 need stability control. the cars are annoying enough as they are with TC. they are still fine now, why bring in something like this? dont see what positives there are to come from this.

This is the first time I'm reading something about this proposal. No wonder they keep it low profile. When does Max his contract run out??? The sooner the better. |

It's not just F1! Kenny Roberts Sr also bemoans the fact that MotoGp now uses "electronics",which makes the sport less spectacular. The bikes are easier to ride on the limit, and you no longer see the rear tyre "spin up" in corners.

F1 cars are meant to be cars, not hovercrafts!

Kenny Roberts Sr also said that it would now only be possible to overtake on the brakes........we wish!

Even now F1 cars are misunderstood by most - people already think that TC means that you cannot spin the car.

Another ridiculous proposal. Why bother putting drivers in the car at all?

There is far too much self interest in top level motorsport.
No one considers what the fans want to watch which is drivers/riders controlling their vehicles on the limit without any computer intervention. We all love powerslides. One day those involved will be spending their millions and no one will be watching. |

I myself look forward to the active suspension, ABS, stability control and drivers side airbag coming into F1.

Stability control? Bring it on!
I'm 59 years old, and thought I'd never have a chance to drive an F1 car. With stability control, I have a chance. Maybe I'll be the first sixty-something to win a WDC! |

FIA may allow stability control
I'm pushing 69. I expect to be the first 70 + to win.
