According to Classic & Sportscar Mag (always useful when auction house don't publish results) it sold for £60K plus premium. Coys only had 58% sale rate at the NEC.

Yes 75k was mentioned, I was talking to coys about selling my car a week or two after the autosport an I asked about the Mann escort they told me that figure. I know the gentleman who was selling the escort too but not had chance to catch up with him.

Which one was it? Was the price indicative of the reg number or an actual AMR car?

It was XOO 348F, and according to all the blurb it was original. It looked right from other side of the barrier!

BTW Greg, there is a genuine 26R for sale at Race Retro soon. Silverstone Auctions website has lot list.....

Thanks but XOO 347F was the last museum piece I will ever own. I'm going to build a 'bitsa' 26R over a few years of collecting parts and rally the balls off it without worrying about 'what if'.

I think the car is now in France from what I've heard. Yvan Mahe of Equipe Europe.
