In qualifying Peter Kox kept his foot down at Eau Rouge, just adjusted the balance a little with the brake
The problem with the car is that indeed it's a "private" project by Reiter Engineering. There is no help from Audi at all which would be some kind of obvious as Audi owns Lamborghini. At least Reiter is well funded again with IPB/Rusinov, so the car goes well. Last years 24h Spa was a bit of a shame when they ran out of driveshafts. |

Because they broke so many??
I do remember them saying driveshafts. It needs much work, but it has potential. Amazing commercial potential, it's easily the most popular on the grid for the fans, judging by people's responses. |

The Russian's lap times were perfectly okay - I saw quite a few 2:20s. He was doing a perfectly good job before he was hit by the prototype, which cost them the win. Kox's times were only a tiny bit shy of Enge's in the Modena Aston. Enge is fast and the Modena car is a good Aston. The opposition may be weak in numbers, but they are good teams. |

Nevertheless the lambo performance in GT1 was very good this weekend, seems like Reiter knows what he has to do with the russian funding ..... |

I love the Lambo and I think the car is improved very much in confront of the previous years. Lambo isn't supported by Audi or Lamborghini, at the same way of Corvette or Aston. And Lambo is more neighbor to GT1 rules than all the others. This car has been designed for private teams, wich would be the real protagonists in GT races. Some cars like Maserati (not fully homologate), Corvette and Aston are too much exasperate and this has raised the costs.
This is the reason GT1s are dying. I would see the Lambo win the LMS GT1 manifacturers at the end of the season. The Raging Bull deserves this win. They're fighting against well supported teams! A greatful job! If the car would not be damaged in Spa, they would have won! Last edited by Dario911; 12 May 2008 at 10:11. |

I think I was harsh in my criticism of the team, I guess I should have just bigged up Kox a bit more. Peter is a bit of a god in that Lambo at the moment, and I cannot for the life of me understand why he is not at a works team being paid to win races, not put in race winning (near championship winning) performances.
We gotta be realistic- the car was THRASHED at Silverstone FIA GT- the GT1 field there is MUCH stronger than LMS. The Enge/Garcia Aston falls apart, and there are pay drivers in every other GT1. |

They looked good at Spa, following the 72 'Vette and the Modena Aston at the start.
But, bad luck in the end |

Ofcourse I'll have to come back on this threadtitle then! What a good show this team put up yesterday at Spa. A big thumps up! They nearly won their class, great stuff in a car that outcries a pack of Juddpowered P1's.
