Simon, the only thing I could recycle it into is another Jaguar or Jaguar derived car, after 15 years I want something different.
I think it will always fetch reasonable money but as with everything you have to find someone who wants one.

In actual fact Simon, the "good" time over there didn't cost a cent,so,yes,I fully agree.I gather you had some fun with the Turner, good stuff.Hope you never suffered with" paternal nerves" during the Karting.

I'll be there on the Sunday, in the 50s Sports Car Team Race.

Looking forward to it, and hoping the weather holds.

I will laugh if the order is reversed! Good luck and hope yours and my 16 year old protegee's debut are a success!
I would be there to watch but sadly I am stuck in the heat of the Med!

Wasn't originally going BUT early start as have been offered lift in something entirely appropriate

I will probably be found in the paddock looking windswept and very wide-eyed.....

That was an expensive 10 minutes on track. In practice I came out out Becketts and a cloud of white smoke billowed out of the exhaust and the engine cut. After being towed back to the pits I tried to see if it would start and one of the carbs chucked a load of fuel out and the ensuing fire destroyed my nearly new ITG filter.
Then when we were pushing it on the trailer it ran over my foot so I now have a sore foot and a knackered engine.
Think I've had an Al Weyman day

Sorry bout your troubles - never fun to come all that way and not race. Weather was fantastic today. I might just have managed a sunburn. Discovered JR and Gareth hiding in garage along with a phalanx of Talbot 105's. Pleased to report that they were both suitably grumpy.
