I would doubt you would drive that far if there was a choice of a nearer one !

Pah, you were lucky. I remember when I had to get up two hours before I went to sleep, just so that our dad could beat us within an inch of us lives and then........................... ah I think perhaps I've missed to point.

On a more serious note, we attended Aline Clarke's funeral yesterday. I have to say that these things are usually very solemn. Aline however, insisted that nobody wear black and that there were no prayers (other than personal prayers) and that it should be a celebration of her life.

Not often you can say that a funeral is uplifting, but yesterday was. Condolences to Ken, Hannah, Tim and the rest of Aline's family and friends but she will be remembered fondly.

We met up with many old mates from times past and reckoned we could raise a grid of old gits! Food for thought.

Has war been declared and I missed it?

I know that footballers have an interesting take on cars but I wonder what 'WO' would have thought to the sight of an (albeit modern day) Bentley painted in camouflage?

Well at this moment I am at the Almeria test circuit, beautiful day blue sky not a cloud in sight.
I popped up on the off chance that there might be some winter testing of WTC but it's a bike day.
Mostly Germans but a fair few Russians, one of them is very quick on a twin KTM RC8 easily beating a field mostly made up of 4 cylinder bikes !

Oh right, I thought you meant my response. Yes Walter Owen Bentley. The picture is of a car belonging to that Italian footballer who plays for Manchester something. He has a Bentley painted in camouflage.

These camouflage paint jobs AND the matte black ones very often turn out to be adhesive foil jobs, in my recent experience
a fraction of the cost and removable

I am actually looking into a foil job for my Citroen CX Prestige, not in camou but in glossy black, to put some prestige back into it.

Yes, almost certainly wrapped rather than painted.

"Car wrapping" can be quite impressive. I've recently designed a colour scheme for a Formula Ford which would be virtually impossible to paint so it will be interesting to see how it turns out (if it's ever produced).

Apparently various cars were wrapped in the new film "Rush" to change their look.

Sam, you are obviously a Rolls-Royce man rather than a fan of those lesser, rather common, Bentley automobiles!

I thought the ball-kicker blokes car pic was a spoof but looking on t'net it would appear that it is real. Not sure camouflage a good idea considering his accident rate. Found bent R8 Audi and Bentley pics also. Perhaps a dayglo hue would be better.....

Maybe a candidate for the celebrity race at Silverstone this July.
