2015 ARCA Series...

Ok so I can't even see the races on TV, but since we'll have a Swede - Alx Danielsson - in the 2014 ARCA premiere at Daytona tonight I felt compelled to start this thread

Dylan Kwasniewski starts from pole. There are some second- and third generation drivers in the field bringing several famous family names to the race such as Chase Elliott, Justin Allison and Jeb Burton.

Oh yeah and Clay Campbell, president of Martinsville Speedway(!), starts 15th.

The race gets underway at 2pm ET. FOX Sports 1 will air it in the US.

Have a friend, on another board, that went to the Salem race. I'll see if I can get him to do a first hand report on it.

Well, I watched the Pocono ARCA race today. I was extreamly disappointed. It was worse than watching a Nationwise race, for the same reason! Kyle Larson, with what was essencially, a Sprint Cup car and team, made a mockery out of this race! It's bad enough, when the Cup teams and drivers drop down and beat up on the Nationwide Series drivers and teams, but when they do the same, to the real "little guys" like the ARCA Series drivers and teams, I believe it is stooping to a whole new level of low! Yes, I know he said that he did it to get more practice, on a track that he had not ever raced on before, but given the results, he did not need the extra time! Once a driver makes it to the top, he DOES NOT need to drop down and cherry pick lower level series!

Yes, most likely correct. All of the series below Sprint Cup, both NASCAR, ARCA and whatever other stock car series there are, have young drivers, right in the same age group. A WHOLE lot of young talent coming up, honing their skills, waiting in the wings, to move up into Sprint Cup, in the next few years. Talent wise, the future is VERY STRONG, indeed, for NASCAR! I agree with you, that it is ashamed, that he was not in an ARCA car, instead of what was basically, a Sprint Cup car (and team). Would have been interesting to see how he would have faired, with the same caliber/level of equipment, instead of equipment that was several degrees superior to the rest of the field!

TV alert. The ARCA race, from Indianapolis Raceway Park, will be shown. live, at 9:00 pm, Eastern Time, on Fox Sports 1. IRP is a great short track! They'll have the Camping World Truck Series Race there, tomorrow evening. I wish they had not moved the Nationwide race from IRP, I wish they would bring it back to IRP, as well as move the Sprint Cup Cup race there as well, instead of the DUMP they're running at, this weekend! Anyway, hope all that want to watch the ARCA race tonight will be able to get the broadcast.

Not a bad record. I've been able to follow several of these up and coming young drivers, that are from my area, Brandon Jones, Ryan Sieg, Chase Elliott, to name a few and there are more on the way!.

Sponsor tid-bit: Hoosier and Continental have agree to badge the Hoosier-built tires as General tires next season. Continental owns General, and while Hoosier is still owned by the Newton family, they've had a business alliance with Continental/General since the 1980s.
