I want the old LeMans with the minute long straight ...
and of course .. no traction control .. slicks would be nice, MotoGp style points(unsure longer season), and of cousre ME being present at all the races ...

Osella should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A variety of two, two-and-half and three hour races. Unlimited qualifying laps. Pitstops for fuel, or tyres, but not both at once. Greater variety of engine configuration. Covered wheels/ no wings. Proper race circuits. 30-car grids. Single, multi-car and ad-hoc entrants at promoter's discretion. McLaren F1GTR-based ambulances and fire trucks. Points for the top ten. Freedom to sell year-old cars that then contribute constructor points to their originators. Team points for those guys running older cars. Superlicense qualification would entail two of the following: Winning an F3 race, an F3000 podium or 'lesser' championship

how about this: i heard that an F1 car could drive along a tunnel upside down at a high speed....so lets do that! build a tunnel on a fast track and let the cars run upside down on it. ud see some good OVERtaking that way. and, bring back turbos, slicks, more downforce, the old nurburgring, ovals, fully automatic gears, minimal electronics, etc etc....basicly thing we will never see again.

That's the FIA GT Championship isn't it?

But seriously, my wish list is:

1. Slicks with a tyre war between Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear and Pirelli.

2. Get rid of TC, Launch control and auto-shift. I don't mind electronic shift behind the steering wheel, but they have to shift themselves.

3. Return to Turbos. I actually think it could save costs because you wouldn't need silly 'cannon fodder' RPM to achieve grunt.

4. Send Tom Walkinshaw back to college to retake Business Studies.

5. Back to 26 car grids including Pre-qualifying with pre-'93 wide cars, wings and tyres.

Champ69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1. Removal of Traction Control, Pit to car comunications (electronic and radio), auto gearbox’s and other driver aids.
2. Reintroduction of slicks.
3. Opening of engine regulations enabling V6, V8, V10 and V12’s to be used.
4. Option to run length of race without pit stops.
5. FIA to restructure Concorde agreement to allow smaller teams to get more funding.
6. No one engine rule.
7. Drivers salary cap – this may see drivers switching teams more and allow teams to invest more money in the cars. A limit of around $15 mill per team.
8. 10 or so permanent GP’s with the remainder being held at rotating venues.
9. All the rest can stay the same.
10. Pre qualifying would be good when there are 13 or 14 teams wanting to race.

Yeah, get rid of the electronic gizmo's, reduce wings immensely, slicks, 200-300 mile races, I like that idea of no fuel and tyre pitstops at the same time, and a more evenhanded Concorde agreement so the lessr teams are getting a bigger slice of the cake than they do at present-it would have to be better than the Weekend at Bernie's that Mad Max sanctions ayt the moment!
