HELP - 1960s SPECIAL SALOONS

Does anybody out there have any old photos/slides of late 60s Special saloons? I know that member Ted Walker of Ferret Fotographic has plenty of 60s photos but I am specifically looking for a Ford Anglia driven by Stan Matthews. It was a light metallic green with a twin cam Lotus F2 engine. My dad was mechanic for it but he is no longer with us and I have no idea where Stan is these days. He went on to race F3/Atlantic in the early 70s.
Other competitors at the time were other big Anglia's of Pat Mannion, George Whitehead, Ken Dawes and Zekia Redjep plus Gerry Marshall's Viva, Martin Birrane's Falcon, Brian Bolton's V8 Cortina, Roger Taylor's Escort, Albert Betts' Jag MkII, Mike Chittenden's 1650cc Morris Minor and loads of Mini's driven by the likes of Terry Harmer, David Alexander, Ken Costello and Richard Longman.
The quickest Imp was driven by Bill McGovern.
A long shot I know but I would love to see photos of the car or other competitors again.

I don't have his e-mail address but have you thought about mailing Gerry Marshall as he drove the Vauxhall at the Goodwood festival of Speed last year and may be able to help you? It was a Firenza and not a Viva though

Thanks Stephen, I asked Gerry once before, he remembered Stan but didn't really keep many photos. He didn't actually race the Firenza until '71 ( With Thames TV sponsorship). It was a 2 litre Blydenstein Viva GT before that.
Many thanks for your input though.

Right, I remember it as the DTV or Dealer Team Vauxhall and he used to race with the now departed Nick Whiting who if my memory serves me well, raced a mark 1 escort with a cossie under the bonnet?

I've been looking for something very similar - photos/film/video of special saloons of early '70's - particularly from Brands Hatch.
Norman Abbott (Pink Escort), Nick Whiting (All Car Equipe Escort), Dave Brodie (Escort -Run Baby Run), Gerry Marshall (Firenzas etc - Old Nail, Baby Bertha, Big Bertha) Colin Hawker (Toleman VW and Capri), Tony Strawson (8Litre Capri), Mick Hill (F5000 Beetle) Mike Chittenden (105E Anglia) etc, etc. What great days they were. If in your searches you come up with anything from that period - photos, videos etc - please forward information. Many thanks - David

I will let you know if anything comes up.
Another interesting fact - Anthony Davidson ( BAR test driver)- his father Denis worked on the Strawson Capri in those days!

Thanks for that Andrew. Another reason for the interest in the period is that we were running in the same series against the likes of Homewood, Calcutt etc. Driver Mike Scott (most recently running a Gropa Mk1 RJB Thundersports and now Orwell Supersports) in an 850 Special Saloon Mini (Candy) - diagonal metallic purple, metallic green and silver stripes with metallic black roof. If you ever saw it - you would remember it!!

Don't remember that one.
Is it the same Michael Scott who now races a March 702 in the HSCC Classic race car series? From Exeter I believe.

No, it isn't - but they have raced against each other at the HSCC in the RJB Mining Group 6 and Thundersports series - which looks sort of strange in the programme!!
He is currently racing his Gropa Mk1 Group6 sports car in the Orwell Supersports Cup series.
