I feel very sorry for Bernoldi over this. He didn't deserve to go down with the team At least Frentzen got out in time though (Shame that he took Massa's place at Arrows ). Wow, the Brazillian drivers all seem to have bad luck on their side this season don't they?

Rubens is second in the WDC and has won again this season, so he must be the only one having any luck

I still think Massa will be with Toyota next year and that only leaves the second seats at Jordan and Jaguar plus Minardi. Webber should get one of them, bernoldi's F1 carrer may go down with the Arrows ship unless Red Bull buy him a seat at Minardi next year (and Ferrari engines). Arrows is finished unless someone has about fifty million US dollars to pay off debts and re-capitalise the team. Thats about the same as the deposit with the FIA to start a new team. What would you do? At least with the FIA ypu get ypur $48 mil. back!

Yes, but last year, Minardi came 12th, but slid up to 11th by default after Prost went bust. So surely, 11th place last year was entitled to the TV money, because Minardi ended up with the money that would have gone to Prost.
Wait!! What about Toyota? Isn't it in the regs that Toyota don't get TV mony for their first year's involvement? Valve Last edited by Valve Bounce; 11 Sep 2002 at 22:56. |

I know BAR's budget was massively effected because they expected to score points in there 1st year. |

I think this was discussed on another thread, and that Toyota didn't need that money anyway as they were awash with money.
BTW, you mean we only had 11 teams in F1 If Arrows folds, then there will be places for two new teams. Otherwise, we will be two teams short. Bernie'd better think of a better cash distribution to the bottom teams. Actually, when you look at it closely, teams simply cannot afford to pay for engines these days, as they will get into financial trouble - although Jordan had financial problems, and they had engines for free.
