That would be great but Mark Miles innate fear of the NFL might prevent that from happening.

Didn't miles talk about understanding the need for a longer season now?

Starting earlier and finishing later.

He's not ending the season in Boston. On Labor Day weekend. On a street course.

It's already been decided. Miller or Pruett put it in print on racer.com.

The last thing I heard from Mark Miles was the return to Road America and that there would be no return to Laguna Seca, nothing on extending the season.

10TENTHS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Miles said the season would be longer at the championship banquet 2+ weeks ago. St Pete being on March 11-13 and Sonoma being September 16-18 would correlate with that. If Mexico City comes to fruition the season would be starting earlier still (February).

PWC has supported Indycar at Sonoma for the last 4 seasons (and have run in support at other venues such as St Pete and Long Beach), so I don't think it's a big leap to suggest Indycar will be with them again in 2016.

Thanks for that but it still leaves a very long offseason.

The Pocono the promoter will need to conclude the market is right for a successful event year after year

If IndyCar knew Gateway were interested, why have they done nothing? IndyCar should be involved in promoting the series. As for Milwaukee, I would hate to see it go. Why did Andretti get involved with NOLA? Everyone said it was a bad decision before the event took place.

If Mexico does happen, that will help with the long off season and particularly with the 2017 season.

Indycar's Mexico City thunder might just have been stolen by the WEC...

MC's backers are paying a big sanctioning fee for a WEC race (so big that participating teams basically get their travel and transport for free aka the Bahrain model) and I doubt they'll do it three times (F1, WEC and Indycar) - but you never know with the rich guys!

So, if the season ending race is basically last weekend, expect it to be broadcast on CNBC. NBCSN will have the Nascar race, NBC will have golf till after the Tour Championship in Atlanta (this weekend) then Nascar will move over to NBC.

Not the best option, but it would have to do.

Considering you have asked other posters on this section of 10-Tenths, in the past for evidence, this is pretty rich coming from you. Did you get out of the wrong side of bed, or something?

As is fairly common with your posts, you've completely missed the point. Whether this is deliberate on your part, or you are just plain obtuse, I have yet to decide. I personally don't require supporting evidence. However, if someone posts information relating to an article, the inclusion of the link to that article means others on the forum can easily access and read the article for themselves, which is why I asked for it.

My question was aimed at the previous examples in this forum where supporting evidence was deemed unnecessary - even with the most wild and agenda driven 'claims' being given as fact.

I was interested in the selective requests for supporting links or evidence? I guess it depends on the poster or the rhetoric we are trying to build

Then aim your question at who ever posted those wild and agenda driven 'claims'.

I don't quite understand your question: ''I was interested in the selective requests for supporting links or evidence?''.

Wikipedia has Toronto on July 17, which sounds about right, but I don't see any sources there or anywhere else confirming that date.

Not that Ten-Tenths is necessarily the place to argue the relative merits of Wikipedia articles...
