Who are your top ten F1 drivers?
Please list your top ten and why (briefly). Top ten's from previous years also welcome. I reckon we could all have some shockingly different views here!
My list is always down to ability shown in A car and how hard trying and racing, rather than actual resultS. For these reasons, although i'm not gonna list mine yet, the current champ isn't my number one... Who's gonna be the first to stick their head on the block??! |

Excellent Smokey!
Pardon my ignorance but i'm assuming TGF is Schumi? I'm not exactly sure what it stands for but i think i get the picture! Yep Monster is number 1 no question, the quickest and most talented 2/ Raikkonen - quick and hard headed 3/ Webber - similar to above without a top car 4/ Alonso - just a natural 5/ Schuey - quick but suspect when has to 'battle' 6/ Trulli - think he's about to show us what really can do 7/ Fisichella - consistently quick 8/ Massa - We ain't seen nothing yet! 9/ Button - Needs a good car and quick 10/ Barrichello or Da Matta - smooth but fast |

How about:
TGF - simply the most professional Alonso - most natural Kimi - coolest Montoya - I don't like him but quick Shumi Lite - on his days the quickest Webber - hardworking De Matta - a pleasent surprise Wurz (don't be surprised) - always thought he is fast Fisichella - fast, lacks that little something JV (I know, I know) - fast |

Roughly in order:
Michael - has proven himself time and again, 2003 was perhaps his greatest title Montoya - A real fighter, prone to the odd mistake but still gets great results and entertains the fans Raikkonen - Amazingly steady for such a young driver, and did miraculous things with the car at times. Alonso - Naturally gifted and learning all the time Button - Improved immeasurably since 2001, looks like a future champion Rubens - Put in one of the best single drives of 2003, awesome in damp conditions, but often in TGF's shadow Ralf - Great at times but not fast enough consistantly Webber - Potential remains largely unfulfilled Fisichella - I wish he could get a top drive DC - His day may be passing but he's still solid and occasionally quick. Honourary mentions to the ever-enigmatic Trulli, Sato and Massa if they're more mature now, and the impressive Wilson and Da Matta. Everyone else (except maybe Klien - judgment reserved) could be replaced with equally capable drivers from elsewhere |

Hmmm this TGF fellow is featuring far more at the top of your lists than i anticipated!
How are you rating him? Surely not because he's won 6 titles in a team built around him and no inner team competition? or not because he always seems to come off second best when he actually has to race someone else, eg, Monster, Raikkonen, Alonso, even Coulthard? I think he is starting to get found out! |

Good old red! I like it, only basing your choice on actual achievement. So you are saying if Micheal hadn't won he wouldn't be your top driver?

That he was second best? Anyway, what's the point of actually have a championship, if the measure of greatness is a poll of your favorite drivers...

Personal Opinion taking into account machinery that was being driven.
Oh - that wasn't one of those questions that needs an answer... |
