Germany? They can organise a trip that far away in four months? Or maybe it's a 2009 issue ... if so, where? Don't see why Canada needs to be non-championship though, it's not exactly far.

Well i'm all for a return to the lausitzring, but surely somewhere like Mexico city would be more convenient for an international mini-series. Probably a mis-informed journalist in all reality, if a return to europe was on the cards someone else would be reporting it too

This international cup business shows just how unorganized indycar is. The 2009 schedule is a mess.

True, some posters on crapwagon.com were comparing the series in its current state to the USAC Championship Car series in its last days in 1970s.

If the tv package goes south as it appears to be and no manufacturers bite on the new formula along with the messy schedule leaving out a lot of good races, they could be in for serious problems.

I know they are barking mad when they rejected the Las Vegas oval including financial assistance and wanted to run on the LVMS club circuit road course. Yes the irl insisted on running on one of the 1.3 mile club road courses at LVMS. I've driven all of the road courses at LVMS and they are decent but I'd only consider them worthy of club racing or racing schools.

Given your background as a jinx-predictor ms, I have to expect a wonderful 2009 for Indycar

This Cup is a great way for the IRL to test out new venues, and see which countries are interested in the new series. Attempting to merge ChampCar's scattered venues and tedious street races with their own ovals and road/street tracks was always going to be a tough job.
