Probably Honda since all my favourite drivers have at some stage in their career driven with Honda power. Honda might well be people's "least favourite IRL engine" since they have strangled things somewhat with their dominance!

For those of you who have heard the cars for real, are there any major differences in engine note between the three that would make one a particular favourite? I loved the sound of the Honda CC turbo - the Toyota was horrible - really shattered your ear drums with its metallic shriek, the Honda on the other hand was smmmooooootttthhhh.

Influenced by my big stock-car interest, I have to say Chevrolet.

With that said it's not like I really dislike the others though.

Honda have the best engine IMO, even if Chevy are unexpectedly catching up then I gave them an encouragement vote.
Deeply disappointed by Toyota, wasn't for Penske's authonomous effort, they'd never be on the podium.

I've owned a couple of Chevy muscle cars back in the day, so it's Chevy power for me.

I'm not a big fan of the Japanese cars. There's no doubting that there fine mechanical automobiles, but they really lack character and soul IMHO. Sadly, American car manufacturing hasn't been the same since there arrival here...

I really get more attached to the teams than I do the manufacturers. Same thing in Formula 1, I've always been a Mclaren fan regardless of what engine they are using.

So I did not vote in this pole, as there was no option for "doesn't matter."

I like Honda. they've come good the past 2 seasons and propelled Wheldon to the front of the grid and the Indy 500!

It was Nissan, they kept on going, unitl they won; then Mr. George dumped a load on the rules and original runners, so they finally left.

I went with Toyota, mainly because I'm a fan of what they do in other series.

Chevy nearly got my vote, but rebadging a Cosworth is almost treason...

Honda, they support the IRL more than GM or Toyota.

I'm not sure about that.

Toyota seem's to do alot more advertising, both print and TV, about their IRL effort than both Honda and Chevy combined. I actually don't think I've ever seen a Chevy advertisement anywhere about their IndyCar efforts.

Honda has been hands down the best engine the last two years though...

Subsidised teams? What are you going on about jock? I've never heard of such a thing...

There is obviously a lot of US patriotism in the support for Chevy. However, the only engine that is designed and built in US is the Toyota. Both Honda and Chevy were designed in a small town in the middle of England. Also don't forget that the Chevy was actually designed by Ford!!

I'd have to say Honda. Honda is serious about winning and they make sure that they do.

Toyota is all whiny. The can't be bothered to try to beat Honda because Honda is spending more. Having one manufacturer's engines slower than anothers makes the racing a lot worse. Would we rather see a race between most of the drivers, or just those from 3 teams? Also, Toyota is semi-black mailing the series with their "will we stay will we leave" garbage.

In a lot of ways it seems like a repeat of how Honda and Toyota competed in CART. Honda always produced a great engine, whereas Toyota was only serious for a couple of years and demanded that everything go their way.

As for Chevy, they're doing a pretty good job this year, but they've been pretty sketchy of late. Consistant performance is required or else we don't get to see good racing. They haven't done that.

That might have been true years ago, but today other than something like a Corvette and a few exceptions, I think you'd be hard pressed to argue that domestics have more character than their for the most part superior import competition. (the arguement might be valid for Toyota's good, but mostly dull vehicles)
