and as promised last autumn, I will be running our very own "Forum Pick 'Em Contest" again!!!!

For some reason, I can't remember who won last year's Season Championship

But it is a "New Season," and last year's contest was very close and highly competitive....

the next post will be the template for the season-opener at Homestead....

It makes you think about many aspects of the race weekend and to take into account team strategies, etc.....

and if you have one or two picks that don't pan out, you can make up the points in another area...unlike other contests that just have you select the Top 5 and the pole sitter...

Here are your "Preliminary Results" after today's qualifying session:

No one picked Tomas Scheckter as the Pole Winner

Tim N. was clostest to the pole speed of 215 mph for 2 pts.

In the 1st Three Rows section, Tim N., GP Racer and Marcus all had 3 of the top 6 selected, but Marcus had both Vitor Meira and Buddy Rice in their actual spots to earn 5 points in this section. Down F0rce had Franchitti in his actual spot for 2 pts as well plus Rice to tie Tim and GP for second place in this section, who got 1 pt. each for their three selections in the Top Six.

Tim N. and Luke both had Paul Dana as the Slowest Qualifier

No one had Meira as the Fastest Honda

Tim N. Luke Drewdawg727 and DownForce all had Helio Castroneves as the Top Toyota.
