Just got back from a 16 Hour Drive infrom Florida and a great weekend at Sebring...

No one picked Herta for the Pole

Flavinha was closest to the Pole speed: 176.394 vs. 176.612 actual

Stmookey won the top three rows with 4 of the 6 and three in actual spots for 7 pts., Flavinha had 6 pts., Luke had 5 and Tim Jock & Marcus 4 each

Tim, Luke Kock and Stmookey had 2 of the three top engine qualifiers (Helio and Scheckter)

I would have counted either Paul Dana, since he started last, or Ed Carpenter who posted the slowest actualk speed (165.779)...all but Stmookey had Dana

Qualifying Results were close:

1. Luke - 11 pts.
(tie) StMookey - 11 pts.

3. Jock - 10 pts.
(tie) Flavinha - 10 pts.
(tie) Tim N. - 10 pts.

6.Marcus - 8 pts.
7. GP Racer - 6 pts.

Race Results:

Luke Picked Hornis to win for 2 pts.

The Top Five winner was Marcus with 5pts., followed by Jock with 4 and four others with 3 pts. each

No one had Dario Franchitti setting the fastest lap.

Luke was closest to the Fast lap speed: 170.720 actual vs. his 174.155 selection

Jock hit on two Milestone winners - Helio (100) and Franchitti (150), and Luke, GP Racer and Stmookek hit on one each

No one had Kanaan (21st to 3rd) as the "Best Mover"

No one had Rice at the 1st Car out

Jock had Scheckter as one of two "Fall from Grace" selections (4th to 17th), but Enge also would have been correct (7th to 20th)

Stmookey was closest to the avg race speed: 132.753 vs. his pick of 131.890

Your Total Weekend Results:

1. Jock 25 - 20 pts.
2. Luke - 19 pts.
3. Stmookey - 17 pts.
4. Flavinha - 13 pts.
(tie) Tim N. - 13 pts.
(tie) Marcus - 13 pts.
7. GP Racer - 11 pts.

jock25 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sweet! I have to say I am thoroughly looking forward to the rest of the IRL season and our Pick Em contest. Plus I am very confident I won't be leading after St Petes!

I know a lot of IRL fans are pretty unhappy about the current direction of the championship (street/road course inclusion) but I honestly believe they will be a very good decision - especially after the attendance at Phoenix.

Thanks to Tim for running the competition.

Geez, I'm really stinking up the joint so far, eh!?

Who does this rookie, jock25 think he is anyway? He just show's up and starts kicking the tail's of veterans like myself, - well, actually thats not to hard! - but Tim to!? Does he know who Tim is!? No respect, I tell ya! Nice job jock!

Well, St. Pete should really make things interesting for the contest. First time on a street course, and anything can happen. Let's see, Carpenter, first, Foyt for second, surely Dana will be top 5...

Good luck!

Thanks Tim. I think I did a good job since I didn't pic anything for the first race.

Oh, I am a female, not a male
