Robb Gravett winning his fourth victory of the season but this time it was real close. The Trakstar car running on an unfamiliar Yokohama compound didn't know exactly what to expect from the tyres he raced them only as hard as he had to and had Andy Rouse all over him. Things eased off slightly towards the end as Tim Harvey momentarily went past Rouse on lap 18. In the end status quo remained covering the three some by just a second.
Will Hoy, substituting a recently ankle operated Mike Smith, in the second Trakstar car was a slendid fourth in unfamiliar enviroments from a tyre troubled Laurence Bristow. Sean Walker took the final point in sixth after an early off course excursion. Karl Jones looked set for that point only to blow an engine on lap 17. Gerrit van Kouwen finished seventh in his first try with the now active suspensioned JQF RS500 but with failing boost.
Another Weaver-Sytner show case in Class B with Ian Forrest taking third. John Clark seemed destined for third but a slow puncture caused a spin into retirement. As first privateer John Llewellyn sported a six speed gearbox but that caused him problems in the race leaving him fourth.
In Class C the order was once again John Cleland, Louise Aitken-Walker and Jeremy Rositer in the three Dave Cook Vauxhalls and again Alan Minshaw making sure that any points were distributed.
Ray Armes took another pointless Class D victory, even bothering with rebuilding the car from a Friday practice accident.

The three unknown Sierra drivers, in starting order, are: Dave Pinkney, Guy Edwards & Robin Donovan.

Interesting that as much as track limits are talked about these days, they were giving drivers black & whites back then, too!
