What should the cancelled round change to? Nürburgring GP? The reason is that it's because of the cars.

If Nürburgring GP, it's because of the DTM-styled bodykit on the GT500 cars.
If Singapore GP, it would be a joint weekend with F1.
If Shanghai Street Circuit which held for the DTM in 2004, it would be a joint weekend with DTM.

Thailand is already confirmed for the calendar.

I hope SUPER GT plans to race in the states in the near future. I remember going to Fontana Speedway for JGTC live back in 2004. Ever since then i was in love with SUPER GT. But also I remember the event being a fail to due to lack of ticket sales. Since then the popularity of SGT popularity in the states has grown substantially. They should do weekend event with ether Tudor United Sportscar Championship or Pirelli World Challenge. Until then, when is SGT going to have English commentary?

If they replaced South Korea with California Speedway, they should have international commentary.
If they replaced South Korea with Nürburgring GP, they should also have international commentary.

Lap times? DTM-styled cars might have the same speed as the 2007 cars, because of Daisuke Ito's lap record at Suzuka Circuit in 2007.

In 2007, Suzuka was the opening round. So no cars had success ballast to slow them down. Quite amazing to see a 1:49 @Suzuka almost 7 years ago. The cars were a bit slower in 2008, some 2-3 seconds at Suzuka. And 2006 saw rain in qualifying.

Two cars built already? Nismo have been burning the midnight oil...

Would love to see the series race here in Australia. Phillip Island would suit these cars to a tee.

Also 2013 GT500 are already 3 second faster than german DTM. I was trying to compare lap times of a Toyota TS030 vs Lexus LF-CC GT500. The only track i can think of is Fuji. The qualifying time for the TS030 was 1:26.577. I remember the 2014 spec car tested at fuji but i cant any of the lap times compare.

Here's a great article on SUPER GT vs DTM!

Maybe they can just head back to Sepang. The facilities are there, everything is familiar and they have built quite a good fan base.

According to itariaracing.net, Marco Bonanomi and Tonio Liuzzi seems to have tested Honda HSV-010.

I recommend that both of them should be in a team in the GT500 class. It would have been awesome for them if they enter Nissan.

Then just move it one week forward to 21-22 June. That's their traditional date at Sepang anyway.

It Should be 3rd weekend of June for Traditional date instead of 4th (about 2004-2011).

May be that's okay date but probably too tight for logistic issue as Autopolis race is on 1st of June , and those malaysian said they already running 'Ramandan' mode one week before formal date and somebody will keep not eating for one more week too.Of course it also take risk for car and tools leaving from KL when u have only 3-4 days away from it begin. One Again,I think the tradition of islamic is the reason they don't renew contract as next couple of years will shadow June's weekends(It Starts about 10 days earlier than previous year) and force them rethink a new date for sustainable .ok you can sign short contract due to Korean cancellation but it isn't comfortable progress

for me,no replacement is my opinion just like
