DuncanWiltshire should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
On the subject of 'optional dress code', the French authorities came over to Goodwood the year before the first Le Mans Classic event and went home somewhat starry-eyed at what they saw could be acheived with enough attention detail.
Their attempt to enforce a similar 'period' dress code collapsed through firstly a lack of enforcement and secondly the fact that such a dress code looks rather silly in the context of a modern concrete paddock.
What works at Goodwood will not automatically work elsewhere.

Duncan,

Allow me to be the first to welcome you to the board.

You make a good point which crosses over with my thoughts that Goodwood is Goodwood and other events should avoid trying to aspire to what it is.

Spa doesn't and a properly organised festival at any other UK circuit shouldn't cow tow to its mores either.
