Haven't been before but have half a mind to do so this year just for the craic!

Seems popular when going to Portugal to take ferry to Santander from South Coast but every time I check cost against Dover Calais ferry and driving across France the latter is still way cheaper! For a truck, at any rate. Also less worry about hitting bad weather in Bay of Biscay....

Being nosy, how many cars are you taking and for what races?

For anyone thinking of flying. There is an excellent tram service from the airport to the Matosinhos area (where the circuit is located). This hotel http://www.hotelportomar.net/index.php?q=en/node/29 is close to a tram stop and is a short walk from the circuit. The fish restaurants in the area are fantastic by the way.

If they lay on the same sort of welcoming arrangements as they did in 2013, then you don't need to worry about the tram... I left the arrivals hall, to find some remarkably attractive young ladies offering to source me a limo to the hotel ... did wonder if I was being set up for something, but no, it was all part of the service! Fabulous.

I really enjoyed the weekend - and am sorry that FJ aren't there this year. Hope you enjoy it.
