Eifelrennen 2013
Is anyone else doing this race in June and if so do they know where we can get an entry form ?
We have done the race for the last 5 years and normally the entry forms are out months in advance but as far as I can work out from the German website there is no sign of them and the organisers do not reply to e-mails. As you can imagine I am a bit reluctant to book time off work, book ferries etc and then not get an entry. |

I appreciate in light of the lack of replies that I may be in a club of one but to those that have any interest in the Eifelrennen race (3 hours round the Ring and GP circuit) the race is definately going ahead and the entry forms are out on the http://www.fhr-langstreckencup.de/ website

as an event that's right up my street and I'd love to have a crack at it. However none of the cars I have access to are eligible so I'm taking the MG to Spa that weekend instead. I wish you luck in flying the flag for GBR...

Hi David,
We have done it many times in supposedly non eligible cars - at the end of the day this is a fairly broad based race and they need numbers - so if you are thinking about it for next year I would see if there any guest series featuring as this is normally the best way to get in or else just apply and enclose some pictures of your car and ask to run in an invitation class. Certainly if you got a few non FIA MGs to go then if past exprience is anything to go on they would run you as an invitation class Have fun at Spa |

I've done this event twice in the past with the CSCC, however, I have been led to believe that my car too would be ineligible. Certainly on our last visit the scrutineer was horrified when he looked under my bonnet - he was under the impression that all cars (well, Mustangs at least) should be to AppK spec. After a lot of conversation we finally convinced him that according to the regs we were legal. Since then we have been told they have tightened the rules. Its a long way to go to be refused to play due to non conformity.
