My updated list:

1x Care Racing - Ferrari 550
1x JMB Racing - Maserati MC12
2x JMB Racing - Ferrari 575
2x Vitaphone - Saleen S7R
1x Konrad - Saleen S7R
1x Star Moto - Saleen S7R
1x GNM - Saleen S7R
2x DAMS - Lamborghini Murcielago
1x Zwaans - Lamborghini Murcielago
2x GPC - Ferrari 575 / Maserati MC12
1x Hezemans - Corvette C5R
2x AF Corse - Maserati MC12
1x Lister - Lister Storm

NGT:
3x Freisinger - Porsche 996 GT3-RSR
2x GPC - Ferrari 360 GTC
1x Proton - Porsche 996 GT3-RS
1x GruppeM - Porsche 996 GT3-RSR
1x JP Racing - Porsche 996 GT3-RS
1x GNM - Porsche 996 GT3-RS
1x RJN - Nissan 350Z

What I was thinking about, I find it hard to believe that JMB and GPC will get rid of their 575's allready. They've only been running them for one year yet. There are limits to the budgets of all teams, and the 575 isn't really the cheapest car of the bunch (€800.000 + €400.000 Engine Lease). Can't imagine that GPC/JMB will sell them after one season already, also considering there's still a lot left to develop on those cars. GPC was quite invisible in 2004, but all together they did manage to get on the podium several times. So the potential is there. Why waste that plus the invested time by buying a brand new Maserati? Nice results from the factory-team don't make the car a instant-winner for other teams.

Proper thinking. The last two seasons Proton has entered 1 car per race. The Felbermayrs only join on special occasions since they put their 993 in a museum after 2002. And on those special occasions they entered in a car from Jurgen von Gartzen. So it would be very unlikely that they would aquire a 996 GT3 RS(R) to do a full season again.

Thanks for that, E46.

(For all members)And BTW, SaleenS7R question was not irrelevant : when mentionning news, thanks to mention your sources (i.e. by a link) : it helps to rate its reliability, and reward the work of the journalist or the team press officer (even if the text is not in english).

with all these prospective teams and cars for the fia gt season next year, i wonder what cars and teams we will see enter the spa 24 hours. one thing i do wish is that some one will run one of those maserati trofeo light gt's in the gt2 class, it's is a nice looking car. nicola larini drove one already in i think either the spanish gt or italian gt series,i can't reember which but it was in an issue of autosport mag as well as www.italiaspeed.com

I see that lmsr.net is reporting that BMS will campaign the MC12's next year in FIA GT. This makes the most sense to me given their track record of success.

news from DSC (subscribe if you don't, it's worth it!!!) on a recent Autosprint article regarding the entries for 2005. the main points of the article were the following:

-the Maseratis will run next year through at least AF Corse, and 5 will be made available to customers.

-BMS Scuderia: a meeting is to take place between Maserati and BMS later this month to decide on whether or not to run 3 MC-12s, problem there is an asking price of $920,000 each!!... Frederic Dor is also courting BMS, offering them to run the 550s again next year, and then switch to DBR-9s in 2006. the big factor in all this is that next year BMS is switching to Pirellis.

-JMB is looking to switch to two MC-12s next year, if they are granted them from Maserati (5 will be available)

-Barron Connor could switch to MC-12s and run them in the LMES next year, so that is the hang up in regards to JMB, expect news on Barron Connor soon.

-DAMS is likely to switch to 550s or 575s next year due to the complications of the R-GT

so...

i would assume so, the only hang up on providing more than 5 for 2005 would be that the car is to be reprofiled over the winter and therefor i think that more than 7 cars total (2 factory, 5 customer) would be too much... i'm actually suprised they expect to have 7!
