Brands Hatch GP loop

What is the general access like on the loop as I'm aiming to go to the BGT test day next week and want to take a walk out the back.

Thanks

pretty good, there is a dirt path most of the way round that gets you real close, plus there no big fencing to get in the way. can get some great pics out there. if its raining or has been raining best not to wear your best trainers

drivers right - no problem (mostly)
drivers left - no chance (at all)

Probably easiest to do it against the race direction, start off at clearways, go over the bridge that goes to the med centre and take an immediate right - access all the way back to opposite post 14 (umm - Hawthorns?) It gets a bit tricky between there and the bridge that goes over the startight at the back of Druids. You cant actually follow the track and may have to do a bit of oreinteering in the infield woods.

Alternately, go up to druids and keep walking, go accross the bridge and there ia a path/spectator are around most of the inner part of the loop, and you can walk down past westfield to clearways.

It's a long walk, allow about an hour for a lap of the circuit.

As Bodysnatcher says turn right after the Clearways bridge, (duck under the brambles) and then meander right-the-way-round to the bridge at the back of Druids. The only fencing is a few yards through Sheene`s and the first part of Derek Minter Straight. You will have to deviate a few yards back from the track (and therefore through the trees - but on a pathway/track at least!) to get round Stirlings and also to descend and then ascend Pilgrims Drop.

I should also be there if all goes to plan.

McKay has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
or before the cars come out hop the fence and go on the outside of the circuit, like i did. then walk round to pilgrims drop and drag yourself up a bank. but this may be harder with marshalls around, i did this at the champcars meeting...
