Euro3000 is really on a par with F3000 and F Nippon, while Euro F3 is at the same level as British or German F3.
Formula Nissan and Renault V6 are on their own in a sort of group 2½, between F3 and F3000. I'd then have the French, Sudam and Japanese F3 championships and Nissan Light as group 3½. Formula 4000 (Holden) would probably go there too. Group 4: F Renault, Spanish/Italian F3, Formula Palmer Audi, FranAm Group 5: Formula Ford, Formula BMW, Formula Zip, etc. |

Do you think Renault V6 is below F3000?

what about australian f3 - the all japan f3 championship has about 12 cars per race with only 2 or 3 race winners..... australian f3 has around 18/19 cars with 3 or 4 winners and the racing is getting better each year
australian f3 is better than formula 4000 which is supposed to be the equal of f3000/nippon..... |

Renault themselves describe the series as a rival to F3. They wanted a better path for young talent identified in national F Renault championships to reach F1, so that they could have more control. They already have links with F3000 teams, but found they were losing drivers in F3. F Renault > Renault V6 > F3000 > F1 Now obviously the Renault V6 is more powerful than F3, but Renault would probably want drivers to F3000 before moving up to F1. |
