Silverstone Grand Prix circuit - track day?

Hello,

I saw a programme the other night on Bravo which featured a track day at Silverstone where they were racing Radicals around the full Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone.
Does anyone know how/where I can do this, I have always wanted to race around the full Silverstone GP circuit, can anyone help me?!

Cheers.

I've driven around the Silverstone GP circuit, but not at any decent speed. Actually it was the historic GP circuit (similar, but it uses the old Abbey!).

I'd like to have a decent go at the GP circuit too. There are track day organisers that do it. Although at the moment I don't remember any having a Silverstone date. I don't have any info with me here too. However I googled and got this (I've only scanned it so don't know how useful it is)
http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/silverstone.htm There is one car GP circuit day...

HiRich should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
There are several 'GP' days. Try the bigger boys (EasyTrack, BookaTrack, RMA). I'm too lazy to check for you, but did the GP with EasyTrack last year. Expect to pay about £250. The days normally book up quickly.

Did you use your own cars?
I would rather race a car other than my own, as mine is a crummy Golf which is slower than hell.

I was hoping to race round in a sporty car of some kind?

There's NO racing on a trackday! Overtaking by consent only..

No I don't mean "racing". By "racing" I mean "ranting" a car.

I have done a trackday before at Thruxton "racing" a Ferrari, MGF and a Formula Ford car, so I do understand the track ethics.

I just want to do a similar thing around Silverstone GP...!

A 355 with manual click click open gate gearbox, which was a pig to change, and the pedals were too close together!

Silverstone also does an performance driving package around the full GP circuit for about £300 for the day. You get some tuition in their cars in the morning and then can take your own out in the afternoon.

I haven't got a decent car for trackday's either, but spoke with Caterham Motorsport Club and they run alongside the advanced performance driving days organised by Silverstone Racing School, so its possible for you to hire one of there track cars for the afternoon sessions. Give Merrick a call at Caterham for a quote.
