Holden to sell HRT/ K MART/ Team Brock??
ive just read in todays sydney paper that holden has Put these three teams up for sale.
i presume it has something to do with the testing restrictions, but isnt this a bit drastic???? doesnt it make sense to at least keep HRT??? |

Isn't there a rule that says manufacturers can't own teams? I assume Holden wants to dispose of them because of this. They only came into its ownership through the collapse of TWR, after all.

The magic question would be where they would raise the millions needed to do a deal...
Mr Weel is likely to have access, but I would presume for either of the other 2 to be serious, a consortium would be required... and you still havent taken into account the plans of GMM |

Holden would still have a huge impact in the teams after all look at the say ford has in all of theirs. at least holden doesn't go and say to perkins or garry rogers who they have to have drive for him, unlike ford who shuffled all their drivers around during the silly season.

Holden dont pick the drivers, but they can make their feelings about the selection known by deciding if they are picked up in the "Team of Champions" program or not

I heard somewhere that Murphy could possibly be thinking of buying Kmart and seperating from Holden??? There's one possible buyer...

Murphy has set up his own team (currently running 3 Carrera Cup cars) and could quite possibly be one buyer for the K-Mart operation. I'm not sure what has to happen with the Faulkner franchise though. Would a new lease have to be signed or is it possible that it is for sale?

Maybe Mitsubishi could supply the money to Three Different guys to buy the Teams.
It may well be the only involvement Mitsubishi can realistically have in V8s |

If Greg Murphy Motorsport do take over K-Mart racing i think they would need larger premises and more than just Kev working on cars. It would be a whole new ball game for them. I guess current staff would go with the deal though or at least most of them.

If the sheepchasing contingent deposit the right quantity of funds in the bank account of Holden, I doubt it will be a problem for GMM to expand...
I hope Faulkner screws GMM on the franchise price |
