GP2 Nurburgring

Great grid for race 1!!

Dams lock out the front row continuing their fine form (if only they had 2 drivers on top of tgeir game) with Richelmi, netting his maiden pole, ahead of Ericsson.

Frijns and Evans, arguably the 2 most exciting prospects in the series, are next up followed by Nasr. Missed where Coletti ended up?

Should be an interesting one?

W.A Trichlorostyrene should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Interesting defensive driving from Frijns. Over the limit or not?

Anyway, I don't really get why more people don't sacrifice the sprint race and go on medium-medium in race 1. It really paid off for Stefano Coletti today, just like it paid off for Tom Dillmann in Barcelona. If you're struggling to make it to the top 8 in terms of raw pace, then why not try something.

By the way, good job once again from Jon Lancaster... He's really making the most of his opportunities this year. Still ahead of his highly rated team-mate Frijns at the championship, even though Frjins looks like having the upper hand in terms of raw pace more often than not.

Photo-finish for 3rd place at the end. Coletti grabbed the position just along Leimer, Richelmi and Frijns.
