Belatti should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Given that the 107% rule will have some exeptions, (like the one that says that cars outside 107% in Q1 will be permited to race if they have previously recorded faster times in FP 1, 2 and 3) it would be nice to know if the HRTs had faster laps in FP in the races when they were out in Q1

Answer to that question:

Bahrain - no change
Malaysia - change of weather, but all cars were inside 107% of Practice 3 best time.
Spain - SEN was inside 107% for Practice 2
Canada - CHA was inside 107% for Practice 2
Hungary - no change

Which basically makes my mind up for me -
the new teams are, for the most part, not a danger but anything slower than them should be looked at.
107% would largely address this

wow, thanks for the speedy reply

So I guess that if HRT manage to continue, they can design a better stuff that that GP2 car, right? The same if Virgin finally admits a few hours of Wind Tunnel wont do wrong

Again another wet/dry qualifying session, is there much to read into this?

As an aside, all cars posted a time faster than 1:54.826 in Practice.

As Petrov didn't post a time in qualifying - so definitely outside the 107% rule - was he allowed to start because his practice times were fast enough?
(I'm glad he was allowed to start, BTW, just interested in the rules that apply under such circumstances)

Not quite sure what you mean there, the 107% rule at this stage doesn't exist so such a situation need not be pondered. I can only imagine however that he would be allowed to start based on his practice times, similar to Alonso in Monaco.

Anyway, an update for Monza.

Can I also add, that being a low downforce track, and the problem with the new cars being they don't generate downforce to start with, I didn't expect anything unusual. Singapore and Suzuka could be different.
