Chris Griffin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Ouch. We had left by the time the Thunders were out.

Had a great weekend though. A few teething problems with the Rover were sorted out at Bruntingthorpe but there's nothing like a raceday to throw up a few more. High oil temp, low water temp and a broken rotor arm at the end of practice on Sunday. Need more time in the saddle to get used to it. Great Fun.

I was there for Saturday only and had a great time.

Roger Stanford ran away and hid in Classic and Historic leaving Dan Nash to show how sideways Cortinas could go though Coram, and a Mini, A50 and that excellent Corona to have a titanic battle.

Anyone know why Brian Stevens didn't appear for the Group One race?

He had a gearbox expire in practice which after changing turned out to be the diff. He was pretty p'd off. Swapped it out though and appeared again on Sunday

Anyone got any photos of either day of the meetings?

I'm still rebuilding a house. The car starts and runs, but usual stuf - kids, mortgage, building house, etc. I am hoping to get out at some point for a couple of races this year

Will have some just as soon as I can get them organised and uploaded.

We managed a quick over the shoulder peak at the in-car footage from Richard Hammond's SD1. Much arm-twirling Hopefully Top Gear will make more of it than they did with last year's 2CV 24hrs.

Redshoes. Any pics of the BX? Better if they show Cossie as the boys reckon I fell off.

JC is gonna love Hammond's attempt at racing such a big motor and .............. beating a Renault 5 as well!

Looking at the Hammond Rover on Nigel's site, the rear spoiler is non-standard and the front spoiler is from a post 83 Vitesse twin plenum.

I see our scrutineering standards are slipping a little.

Unless there was another reason for allowing it to race?

Pete - as he was so low down and didn't affect the championship and it will give some publicity to the CTCRC and club racing in general, there was probably some leeway given. Rightly so in my opinion

Don't worry, all competitive advantages gained (if any) from the above were negated by the total lack of suspension I think it was running road springs and dampers - he was scraping the door mirrors on the kerbing at Russell.

What am I doing wrong as I cannot view pictures on that site. Is it a registartion requirement, Norton security settings of brain failure. All I see is stars?

I've had the odd report of the thumbnails not showing. I think it's a problem with Norton firewall/ad-blocker but don't have a copy to be able to confirm that. There should be somewhere in Norton to set as a trusted site. If that doesn't work PM me.

By trial and error I found that turning of the ad-blocker, allowed me to see your pics
