You're all making me feel sorry I can't make the show (prior commitments, pah). Hope it goes swimmingly, I'm sending my long-suffering mechanic in my place to wander round looking lost and ask inane questions...

Aha just seen....was all excited there and thought DTRC could possible be running with the Vees (depending if DTRC calendar moved around as BTCC not at Silverstone but alas, Vees are at Silverstone a week earlier this year. Still got to be somewhere else on BH weekend though!

So who's coming out to play, and what in? Any gossip on new cars or drivers?

What are the rule changes from last year? (sorry, I missed the chat at Brands) Will the "Tintops" have a pre-determined calendar, or be as and when a grid can be bought? And any news on the calendar for DTRC itself?

Discuss....
The No.87 Nova is back in 2007 with a 1.6 16v lump, the old 8v has died and all the good bits nicked off it, a nice man is building me a 200bhp 16v for a large pile of beer vouchers. Will be in class D now so watch out There will be a few other mods and stuff so looking forward to kicking some arse!!

I think that will depend on how much we get out of this years as to whether we go for it again next year.

Oh bugger, it seems I took you too seriously as I could never afford the prices you said. After the show I went down to Brighton to pick my daughter up from uni and got talking to one of her friend's parents.

He is really into classic cars and racing (he used to race an MGB and a Lotus Elan in the eighties) and was looking to start again. I showed him my car on the website and the upshot is that I have now sold the D-type, subject to him seeing the car, but was so enthusiastic he gave me a cheque for a deposit there and then.

So it looks like I won't be racing with anyone next year as I don't think I can lower myself to drive a Ford.
I will however still be around to clear up after Eric.
