Alex Rossi might as well pack it up and head back to the States.

Fun event! Always fun to watch big single seaters tearing it up. Lots of walking to the track and train station though. Budapest is also very nice!

The setting really is something else. It's a very beautiful part of the world! Didn't get to explore the track so much this time though. Next time...

It would have been a cracking weekend for Magnussen had his car not let him down on the last lap in race 2. He was pretty philosophical about it, though, because he had made his point over the two races.

nice moment after race 2 - just before the podium he returned on foot from retiring the car where he was greeted by a round of applause from his guys at first, then everyone else when they realised what was going on. man hugs all round.
it's the second event in a row we've had a last minute retirement from one of the races, and as with sorensen at silverstone there were plenty of comments from other drivers about how tidy a race kevin had driven. being robbed by mechanical failure is something that has happened to everyone, so it's not as if it's unexpected this year. on the other hand it was an equally good drive from da costa, the only difference was that he wasn't leading whilst he was doing it until the final lap. a fully deserved win, and one that (hopefully) proves that the team are heading in the right direction. worth noting that of the gp3 guys who joined for the weekend only pal kiss was able to really get stuck into the midfield. he handled the huge local media interest admirably as well. |

It's a big car, not very wise to jump on it after GP3 without some testing and in Budapest of all places
