Champ69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
V8 aero packages

1. Why haven’t Ford or Holden changed their aero package for the last 6 or so years??
2. Can teams change the angle of their rear wing for different types of tracks???
3. If teams can change the downforce of the rear wing how would they change the down force on the front, by changing their ride hight?????

Any help would be appreciated.

1. They have been changed a bit over the years.
In 1993 the Commdores got a taller rear wing (?)
In 1994 the Falcon's got those ugly fins no the front.
In 1995 the new VR and EF cars came into existance with their new kits.
In 1997 the VS and EL came about- mostly cosmetic changes.
In 1998 the VT came in- change of front bar to fit it to VT shape, also changed mounting points for rear wing.
In 1999 the AU came in, different front/rear aero kit on that.
In 2000 the AU got the VT front bar.

Of course there have been many more parity adjustments over the years like having spoilers cut off, and on the Ford, rear wing raised.

2. Yes

3. Yes, also things like blocking off brake ducts could have an affect on the handling of the car. I believe the front makes very little, if any downforce, I think the teams are mainly chasing stability on the front.

He was asking specifically about the body kits on V8 Supercars.
