The Nürburgring round in August collides with the WTCC at Oschersleben! How brilliant, surely one way to draw spectator...

That the Procar series starts in a package with the FIA GT in Oschersleben is very interesting. I think it was a big mistake to close the Super Racing Weekend programme. Touringcars and GT's are a good combination.

It had one flaw though. A good circuit for a GT-race is not the same circuit for a touringcarrace. The Pau circuit for instance looks to small and narrow for a big GT-grid to me. And large and wide circuits make touringcars look slow. They should replace the Brno WTCC-race with the Hungarian GP.

I agree, Brno, and Istanbul and Monza are a bit too big and boring for touringcarracing. Short, twisty and not too wide seems to be perfect for the touringcars.

WTCC is heading in the right direction. Of the current tracks only Monza and Brno are maybe to wide and long. The replacement of Pau for Magny-Cours was a good one, and I think Anderstorp instead of Istanbul is also an improvement. Especially since the Turks did't seem to be very enthousiastic about the WTCC. Not very surprising, since they went from no international races at all, to F1, WRC (now replaced by IRC), MotoGP and DTM. Another big championship is maybe a little bit to much. In Italy they might replace Monza with Vallelunga? It offered nice races when it hosted the ETCC 2 years ago.

God no, Monza rocks. Get once on a WTCC race on the stands in the first chicane and you will be a fan for life!

Well, what fun is a track if only the first corner is fun to watch? Because that's Monza's problem.

Emmm didn't say that, did I? The first corner is special, other corners like Ascari or the entrance of Parabolica are also serious fun. I mean, com'on, you make Monza sound like Magny Cours and it's just not right.

No you didn't, I did. I've seen those cars race at Monza as well, and I find it just boring apart from that first corner. It's like racing a gokart on a highway, no fun at all.

You will probably surprised to hear that Magny-Cours is Tom Coronels favorite circuit. And, to be honest, I don't think it's to bad as well. First 2 corners are spectaculair, as is the hairpin for overtaking. And the Imola- and Nuenburgringchicanes are not to bad either.
