Forza 4 Paint

Hello, I'm new to the whole forum but I regularly visit you guys for research and for a good read on some classic/historic motor racing and motor racing history.

Since I was not alive when most of my favourite cars where raced I have to make do with rebuilding them on Forza 4 so here is a few I have done.

Those look pretty sweet.

Man, I need to get back to FM4. I almost forgot how great the game looks.

Some absolutely superb liveries there, well done.

Must confess that since I moved over to Forza 4 from GT5, I've spent more time on liveries than racing. Mostly made up ones, but I have done a 'generic' version of Roger Mandeville's late 80's IMSA/GTO RX7 livery (albeit using the 1990 car!) which I'm quite pleased with. It's one of about a dozen that I have in my storefront (RoscoeRacing). I don't race online yet as simply not good enough but there is no doubt that Gran Turismo have lost their way against Forza which is better in almost every department!

Never played GT so would never know haha, I will check out your storefront. I am not the fastest racers but do enjoy a good clean battle online, I joined a club that races Classic cars weekly so I can avoid all the demolition derbys in the online lobby's.

I am working on Forza 3 on the Carrera RS as they are bringing porsche back so hopefully can transfer some classic liverys over for it on release day!

Well, I'm 45 years older than you and remember some of those cars when they were contemporary racers! Interested that you are part of a Classic racing club online. Is CGC Retro your Forza name, too?

Yes that is my Gamertag, I use it everywhere, makes me laugh when I search CGC Retro is a search engine, the amount of stuff that comes up!

We race weekly, I was hosting a online event but the broadband here has ky dived to appalling making online racing a little sketchy. Hoping to have a improved router soon though to host some classic racing.

Thanks for the comments guys, I have to say I'm glad people like these acsr on th actual game forum they don't get attention because most of the players there want some super multi coloured Ferrari instead of a classic 3.0 CSL. I have just got some porsches painted on the Forza 3 game which I will transfer over when the porsche pack is released, I have placed 1 on a RUF but it's not the same as a 1973 Carrera RS!

I've been doing a lot of retro paints myself lately, using grey tones to simulate the old black and white pictures.

Now that I have practiced the technique, I should try a couple real cars.

yep all good stuff, guys.

I bought your Daytona Filipinetti livery last night, Retro - needed a decent livery on mine, thanks! Was it you that bought my RX 7 livery?

What annoys me about the selling stuff is that, although you get the credits added to your total, your storefront credits are not always increased undr the stats lsitings. In fact, only about 50% of my 'sales' have been registered inn there.

yes downloaded and rated, i don't take notice of the statistics, I painted on forza 2 to forza 3 and was always trying to get download and get rich like armiporiant adam, now I just paint cars that i like and want to see/drive in real life. I even try build them to similar specification.

I looked up "CGC Retro" last night in Storefront, and it found descriptions mentioning "CGC Retro" but none of the GamerTags were "CGC Retro".

I just picked it back up after not having played since November, I think, so I'm learning my way around the game and menus again. Maybe I did something wrong.

There is a key word search and gamertag search, you used key word search, below it should say gamertag, thats where you search CGC Retro, hope that helps in the future.

Am going to be starting a 1965 Touring car series like the top hat and masters series if anyone is interested.

The cars are The cortina/65 stang/Alfa GTA. I have got builds done and will get replicating several old touring cars for those that want to run some of my paints

I have added a Alan Mann racing Cortina to my storefront.

Also the LE GTB's are body kit only cars just to confirm, they should have wide arches and painted competition headlamps and fuel caps on both sides as several cars had that, don't understand the purpose, trying to find it out.

Yeah, I noticed some time later. I'd been away from the game for too long.

My wife and I were watching a Continental Tire race, and she still likes the Rum Bum car, which she adopted as hers after watching Grand-Am at Mid-Ohio last year. It was a BMW but is now a Porsche. I downloaded a "Rumby" (as she calls it) BMW livery for FM3 last fall and figured one would be up for FM4 but can't find one. Even though Porshe was absent in 4, they could slap it on a RUF, or even just a BMW since it used to be one.
