Welcome aboard, Peppe. I'd certainly say your track was ambitious, but not imposssible to build by any means. You don't work for Hermann Tilke do you?!

With reference to my Zolder re-do, I tried to work with the existing layout, rather than bulldoze it completely, although in reality, there is very little that is original, as most corners have been moved or re-profiled. I was trying to keep the character of the original, but whether that's a good thing or not is up to you!

Here's my redesign of Zolder... I offset the back straight to make room for a more modern paddock area.

Alrighty then! Here's my new and improved version of Zolder. My mods are in black. I have attempted not to do a Tilke and totally distroy the nature of the circut. I have attempted to make it more conducive to racing by increasing the overtaking oppertunities at Eeste Linkse, Butte, Sterrewach and into the first of the Rindt Curves for the brave! I have also increased the challenge of the circut by the removal of the Villeneuve Chichane (s Giles would have wanted) and the opening of Lucien Bianchi. Pits would be relocated to the opposite side of the track so that the paddock could be bigger(And the current pits at Zolder dont look to flash anyway!!) What do you guys think??

i thought i'd do a figure of 8 track, since i've never done one before, and PeppeF1 did one, so i thought why not.
So, this is a 3.5mile course, with 12 turns, most of which are constant radius, but the circuit employs the very latest in run-off technology, grandstands, race control computers etc....
Runs Clockwise

IMO, 8-shaped tracks is a great way to get a good combination of left and right...

Absolutely, i'm surprised it's not used more often. Great way of saving space too

The bridges cost a bundle, though.

Actually, it's a bit hard to see, but the primary route is the banked 8, that happens to have a road course version, which i've highlighted

Does anyone here like the New - Look Monaco?

And also what about the changes to Magney - Cours and Hungary for this year's F1?

haven't seen Hungary or Magny-Cours.

Of the Monaco changes, where the inside barrier goes now is more or less where that corner used to go. I know from GPL that it was a 3rd gear corner back then.
i think they should restore the old chicane too, that'd really sort the men from the boys...
As for the exit of Swimming pool, why not take away that curb, and let them build up some speed, so that they might pass at the new La Rascasse. But overall, i'm not overly impressed

Sorry, in the 60's at least, but i think it may have been that way right until the mid 80's, it was a very fast left right chink.
They were approaching at 175mph+ and just tapping the brake and flying through at 150mph. There was absolutely no way two cars could go side by side down there, if they did, you were going to kill someone.
it's where Lorenzo Bandini was killed, and in the late 60's, when they didn't arrive there as fast, they'd just accelerate on through, absolutely flat out.
