Downforce Radio CEO and commentator Jake Sanson has confirmed that the channel will be broadcasting live coverage of the British Racing & Sports Car Club’s race meetings for the 2015 season with a view to covering all of the events in the 2015 calendar.
“We have wanted to work full-time with the BRSCC since we started broadcasting with them at Snetterton in April 2014,” said Sanson today. “The club easily puts on the very best motor-racing championships in the country as their Donington Park Finals weekend in October proved last year. We believe that we can show the motorsport community not only how exceptional the racing is at this level, but also how prospective competitors in motorsport can race on the top circuits in Great Britain with the BRSCC and how it is a more attainable ambition for a would-be racing driver than first imagined. With championships such as the Mighty Minis, Formula Jedi, Formula Ford 1600 National, Ford Fiestas and Fiesta Juniors, FunCup, Mazda SuperCup and Caterham Academy Championships, we believe the quality of the racing within the BRSCC is second to none and we will be able to bring coverage of the best motorsport action British circuit racing has to offer to our ever-growing audience.”
With backing from the BRSCC and commercial partnership from Stopwatch Hospitality, Jake believes that the British motorsport fanbase will be given incredible entertainment on the channel in 2015.
“Thanks to our incredible team of all interests and ages within motorsport, we are confident that any motorsport fan will find something on our channel that will appeal. We run regular weekly programmes filled with interviews and discussions with opportunities for listeners to interact with the panel and our celebrity guests, which in 2014 included Sir Stirling Moss, David Brabham, Dario Franchitti and Damon Hill. We will also be offering listeners a chance to win tickets to BRSCC meetings from the best motorsport views at Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Silverstone thanks to leading hospitality provider Stopwatch Hospitality”
“We will be covering all manner of motorsport disciplines, from circuits to ovals and beyond, with single-seaters, saloons, sportscars, karting, stock cars, and even model cars all having a unique home in 2015 on Downforce Radio, and with the BRSCC at the epicentre of our live coverage we are excited and eager to bring the best live radio coverage of national motorsport this season.”
Downforce Radio will be announcing further live coverage link-ups with further championships over the course of the 2015 Autosport International Show and leading up to the start of the new season.
