Former Formula One driver Max Chilton believes the World Endurance Championship will be a perfect platform for him to achieve success.
Chilton was bullish about his chances of adapting to the demands of prototype machinery. He told Downforce Radio: ĒThe WEC just suits my style, and itís not just myself that says it suits my style. A lot of other people have commented that it suits reliability, consistency and maturity, so I think that will suit meĒ.
The former Marussia driver feels the way Nissan have embraced social media is a refreshing change from his previous experiences in motorsport: ĒTo me, itís perfect. Where Iíve come from, I feel like you could hardly be yourself, and you were basically just saying what someone else had told you to say. With this, yourself and the team come across in a better light. The public can tell when youíre not being honest.Ē
Chilton will co-pilot Nissanís new LMP1 challenger, the GT-R LM NISMO, alongside Jann Mardenborough and Olivier Pla at next monthís 24 Hours of Le Mans.
By far, one of his most ever open & honest interviews he's ever given since being in F1. It's a fascinating insight into his mindset and personality
