Yeah that was HUGE crash by the Porshce, slammed the pit exit barrier, ripped the door off. Hope the driver is ok.

That sucks. Ishiura and Wakisaka got the win for the Denso SC430! The rain at the end really spiced things up!

the rain ruined the calsonic gt-r race that used an aggressive strategy going to pit during safety car! the car had already consumed tyres after more than 50 laps and in that condition of wet simply the car was undriveable. Are there news about tim bergmeister conditions?

Fuji round race-day press conference by Masaaki Bandoh (chairman of GTA)

*We are still continuing negotiation with DTM.
*Although we agree on collaboration, there are arguments about the stance to the race.
We will not change the race style of SGT (pair driver/joint race by GT500 and GT300).
We also would like to maintain "multi-make" stance (tyre/parts).
*We would like to value Japanese motor sports industry, technical competition, and hybrid technology.
We would like to respect these and to cooperate with DTM.
*Actually, GTA staff visited Hockenheim (first round of DTM).
*We welcome participation of DTM machine for next season.

So much for the Garaiya... The car is on pole, and it cannot produce a podium finish!

Still, having the Shiden and the GSR Z4 at podium make me smile.

There's stuff floating around Facebook stating that Tim has serious lung injuries, fractured ribs and is currently in ICU. They're asking people to pray for him. I sincerely hope that these are unfounded exaggerations and that Tim is not as serious as we're being led to believe.

Nasty impact and on the driver's side too Hope Bergmeister makes a quick recovery. Never like to see stuff like that.

Besides this Bandoh san has announced proposed all-star game in Zhuhai circuit is on 23rd December.GT500 and GT300 will running on the same field as usual but race distance should be minimized to one hour.Brilliant Culture Group will be the local promoter and they are looking for intensive sponsorship such as title sponsor around Japan and China.

That's gonna hurt! But of course, I wonder when will the owners of the track plans to install SAFER barriers to minimize the impact...

Oww, hard crash... Hopefully he'll be fine, best wishes to Tim. Fuji always seems to have the worst accidents!

Don't think there's been any news other than what the others have said already, SGT tweet seems to indicate he's out of the woods, serious but stable.

An Update from Joerg

update on Tim: Tims condition has stabelized. He has severe lung injuries and the doctors are trying to safe his left lung while the right side is in much better shape. within the next 2 weeks we will know how it goes. His brokes bones are no issue right now and the good thing is there are no head injuries nor damage to the spinal cord. Please keep your fingers crossed for him. Thank you for all the messages.
