Is anyone else suprised with the numbers for CCA at Clipsal? Seems light on. Are more entries on their way?

A class, which killed off the Porsche Cup (a good amateur/support class), which quickly died in the a*** in it's first attempt to establish itself, failing in it's second incarnation? Surprising to me!

There are a number of CC cars and licence agreements on my105.com for sale... Mr Barlow, Mr Forbes & Mr Koundouris seem to be wanting shot of their chassis.. and have been for some time.

Nobody likes coming last I suspect... nor pouring a not insubstantial sum into a class that hasnt really captured the imagination of the punters.

Here's hoping PCA has some plans in this area...

In Carrera Cup? Doesnt happen anywhere else in the world, I somehow cant see it happening here.

Mr Quinn runs a high spec Porsche in the GT series...

Do you mean by lifting the restriction that currently bars this years cars from racing in Aus GT? Or anywhere else for that matter. I can see why people would be annoyed at that.

Pretty sure that restriction was lifted last year? Previously you could only run in Cup events. I am fairly sure that Ray Angus and others ran their cars in other events in 2011.

GTR - where exactly would you like to house all the support categories at Clipsal?

Correct-- no restriction on non national events( national recognised SERIES).

It was late change last year when they could not sell the cars or convince buyers!!
It was of course-- there previously(fron inception of Carrera Cup in Australia) and it is a piece of real Porsche stupidity-- in my view -shooting themselves in their own feet!!

Negative. No need for Carrera Cup.

Good to see the ridiculous restriction has been lifted. I can remember in mid 2004 - the rule was enforced for competitors half way through a season. Great work by Cams and the manufacturer.

Kingers has a fresh set of tyres for the Sunday race and he's going to be giving it the berries. Massive props to his mate and fellow GT3 CUp Challenge competitor Brad Rankin for assisting Matt's weekend and allowing him to give it his best shot. Running 4th and keeping up with the experienced heads shows he's got the speed. Here's hoping he and the Action Tyres team get the result they deserve tomorrow.

A fantastic drive today. Who knows where Kingers would have been had he not had the 3rd gear issue on Friday. Hopefully he can get some more seat time and really shake it up.

I spoke with Bairdo over the weekend and he gave Matt a very good report card. Said he he was good enough to maybe win a race this year. I would have to agree. Hope he gets the backing for the rest of the year.
